Orvie Bailey, 87, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Linden, died Tuesday, Mar. 7, 1995, at The Arbors of Marietta, after an extended illness.

She was born at Milo, a daughter of the late Charles and Cora Bailey Siers. She was a homemaker, a member of Milo Community Church, and attended Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, Fleming, Ohio.

Surviving are four sons, Seldon Bailey of Marietta, Shade Bailey and Shelby Bailey, both of Newton Falls, Ohio, and John Bailey of Marysville, Ohio; seven daughters, Lois Cutue of Little Hocking, Ohio, Leo Rader of Greensboro, N.C., Susie Dixon of Spencer, Madge Rauch of Fleming, Bernice Mayle of Ravenna, Ohio, Janet Burns of Newton Falls, and Jeanne Lawrence of Marietta; three half-brothers, Holden Siers and Doy Siers, both of Big Bend, and Olen Siers of Mt. Zion; three half-sisters, Esta Jones of Five Forks, Ruby Jones of Grantsville and Myrl Schoolcraft of St. Albans; 31 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Smith S. Bailey, Apr. 14, 1983; a daughter, Grace Roberts; a brother, Norvel Siers; a sister, Ora Siers; three half-brothers, Ermine Siers, Ronsel Siers, and Bernard Siers; and a half-sister, Myrlene Wallbrown.

Services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at Sinnett-Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. John W. Ellison officiating. Burial will be in Clover Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation was scheduled at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
