Edwin A. Jost, 94, Nelson, died Thursday, August 24, 1995 at his home. He was born March 30, 1901, in Nelson to Christian and Katherine (Haase) Jost. On June 6, 1925, he married Edna Reinhardt in Winona. Edwin farmed his entire life.
He is survived by one daughter, Beatrice Mikelson of Nelson, and one son, Milton (Merlaine) Jost of LaSalle, IL, six grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 28, at Stohr-Hagen-Wozney Funeral Home in Alma with the Rev. Michael Fall-Vetsch officiating. Burial was at the Nelson Cemetery. Friends called from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Casketbearers were Earl Hetrick, Derold McDonough, David Mikelson, Eric Mikelson, Brad Mikelson, and Tim Turczyn.
