Death of E. E. Jurden Wednesday at Stacy Basin
ROME Oct. 26 -- Ephraim E. Jurden, postmaster at Stacy Basin, died Wednesday, aged 67. He was born near that place and had always lived in the vicinity. For the past 30 years, he had conducted a general store. He had been ill only since last Friday. Mr. Jurden was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of New London. His wife is the only survivor. The funeral will be held at the house at 2 p.m. Saturday.
