Amherst Man Died of Paralysis, Insisting That He Was Chased by Spector of His Deceased Offspring.

Amherst, Nov. 19 - Death today relieved the paralytic state of H. F. Aiken, aged 87, an old and respected citizen of Amherst, who was stricken under peculiar circumstances last Wednesday and has been utterly helpless ever since. The stroke followed the insistent claim of the old man that he had been by the spector of his son, Irad Aiken, who also died of paralysis last September.

The Aiken home is near to the Elmwood cemetery where his son buried and within easy view of the house. He is said to have been pursued by the spector and to have been forced to flee. Fright and his overwrought state are said to have immediately preceded the stroke of paralysis, the same affliction which caused the death of his son.

The case was hopeless as the patient was unable to move head or foot, or even to take sustenance. He is survived by two sons and a .....................
