Known as the "Savannah River Plant" it is closed to the public. His military service record includes: "1786 Philadelphia, 3rd Co, 2nd Battalion, Phila. Militia, Commanded by Lt. Col. James Read, Esq and Capt. Samuel McLane; Also the War of 1812, 23rd Regiment, South Carolina Militia." On 1 Sep 1816 Eliza died at her plantation home and is buried in the Circular Church Cemetery, Charleston, South Carolina.

Gravesite Details
The interments in Machpelah Cemetery on the north side of Washington Avenue (then Prime Street) from 10th to 11th Streets in Philadelphia, were removed in 1895 to Graceland Cemetery in Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
