Margaret Anderson, 78, Enjoyed Yard Work
Margaret Anderson (nee Contini), 78, of Lorain, died Tuesday May 12, 2009 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born December 24, 1930 in Library, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain for the past 62 years.
Margaret worked as a meat wrapper at Lotts in Avon Lake. Prior to that she worked at Kmart in Lorain and Amherst.
Margaret enjoyed yard work and bus trips to Windsor casinos.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Branham (James "Mike") of Vermilion, 2 grandchildren Chad Branham of Lorain and Courtney Branham of Oberlin, 1 great grandchild Logan Branham, sisters Mary Zmrzel, Lena DiVirgilio (Fred) and Delores Perchinsky, all of Lorain and 15 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Anderson in 1995, parents John & Margaret Contini (nee Vaira), brothers Vincent & Robert Contini and sister Laura Contini.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 14, 2009, from 5-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Cremation will follow and the ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain at a later date.
