Shane Conrad Woods, 52, died at his home on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from complications of C.O.P.D.

He was born August 27, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to Leslie and Daralyn Christensen Woods.

Shane was a member of the LDS Church.

He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High school in 1974.

Shane worked as a cook and restaurant manager for many years. He especially liked managing Mary Lou's in Denver, Colorado. When he moved back to Utah, he worked for Autoliv until he took a medical retirement.

He was always close to his family and was always telling jokes and pulling pranks. He loved animals, enjoyed music, the outdoors, sports and playing on the computer. He had a special bond with his cat, Twinkie, who will be buried with him.

Shane is survived by his mother, Daralyn, of Hooper; two sisters, Pamela, Sandra (Chris) Woods, all of Roy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Woods, grandparents, Harold and Neita Christensen, Frank and Esther Woods.

The family would like to thank the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital for their special care.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. at the Hooper Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
