MARY BONNER

Mary (Martin) Bonner was born on 12 Dec 1815 in Alabama to Andrew P. Martin and Mary (Sellers) Martin and died on 01 Mar 1873 in Toxey, Choctaw County, Alabama. She was 57 years old. Mary married Seaborne Lafayette Bonner. Seaborne and Mary had ten children: Jordan; Harriet Virginia; Matilda; Andrew; Mary; Nancy; Elizabeth; Seaborn Lafayette, Jr.; Eliza; and Thomas.
Their daughter, Nancy, was the first person buried at Bonner Memorial Cemetery. It was the family’s rose garden, originally, and was converted into a cemetery later.
At the time of her death, Mary was preceded in death by her father; possibly her mother; sons, Jordan Bonner and Andrew Bonner; and daughters, Mary Bonner, Nancy Bonner, and Eliza Bonner. She was survived by her husband; three daughters and two sons; thirteen grandchildren; and two known sisters.
