DEATH CALLS MRS. ADAM MILLER

Mrs. Adam Miller, one of Amherst's loved and respected old ladies passed away at the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a brief illness. She was taken to the hospital Monday. She has been bothered with stomach trouble for some time and this with complications was the cause of her death.
Mrs. Miller has made Amherst her home for the most of her life and she has been an ardent worker in the church. At the time of her death she was president of the Ladies' Society of St. Peter's Evangelical church.
Her husband who preceeded her to the great beyond was a veteran of the Civil War. They had six children, three of whom survive her, one daughter, Mrs. E. H. Nicholl of this place and two sons, Charles Miller of Amherst and Albert of Cleveland.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. from the home on Main St. Rev. A. Egli will conduct the services and interment will be in Cleveland Ave. Cemetery.

MRS. ADAM MILLER PASSES AWAY WEDNESDAY P. M.

Beloved Pioneer Resident, Ill Several Weeks, Succumbs at Hospital -- 76 Years of Age.

Mrs. Adam Miller, 76 years old, of South Main street, passed away at the Amherst hospital Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. She had been ill for several weeks, and was removed to the hospital Monday. Death was due to a complication of diseases, and came as a shock to her many friends.
Mrs. Miller had lived in Amherst practically all her life, and was prominent in church and social circles. She was president of the Ladies' society of St. Peter's Evangelical church, and a member of that church. She was the only daughter and oldest of a family of five children.
Surviving are two brothers, A. Hoffman of Cleveland, and Henry, in Germany. Also three children, a daughter, Mrs. E. H. Nicholl, and two sons, Albert Miller of Cleveland and Charles Miller of Amherst.
Funeral arrangements, tentavily made, call for the funeral at 2 p. m. Saturday from the residence. Rev. A. Egli will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Cleveland avenue cemetery.
If the health officer will consent, funeral services will also be held from St. Peter's Evangelical church.
