Randall Lester Haynes was born Nov. 10, 1904 in Taylor County and passed away Dec. 1, 1974 at Atlantic, Iowa.
He was the son of Clarence and Bertha Haynes. He spent his entire life in Taylor Co.
On May 28, 1927, he was united in marriage to Ethel Matzen. To this union were born 5 children. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, one daughter
and one grandson.
Survivors include his son, Fred and wife of Lenox, three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Bolinger and husband, Mrs. Clair Bolinger and husband and Mrs. Frank Bladon and husband all of Creston and a son-in-law, Ed Moore of Ames, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Also surviving are 2 brothers, Harry and Donald, 2 sisters, Bernice Cowman and Thelma Larimer, 3 sisters-in-law, Darlene Haynes, Carrie Haynes and Florence Heaps and her husband Ray, also a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Larkin-Bender funeral home in Lenox with Rev. Floyd Newbrough, pastor of the United Methodist
Church, officiating.
Bearers were Dean Davenport, Herman Haering, Don Trost, Raymond Trost, Max Badgett and Everett Symonds.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery at Lenox.
