HEFLIN, LA - Funeral services for Randy Joe Franklin, 51, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2005 at First Baptist Church West Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Dubose, Rev. Bill Crider and Rev. Mark Franklin. Interment will follow at Bistineau Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Franklin passed away September 30, 2005 in Shreveport, LA. He was born at Barksdale Air Force Base, LA. He was a Maintenance and Engineering Manager for Red River Pharma.
Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Franklin.
He is survived by his wife, Tracie Elledge Franklin of Heflin; mother, Virginia Franklin of Heflin; father and mother in law, Coy and Shirley Elledge of Bossier City, LA; sons: James Mark Franklin and Joseph Brantly Franklin, both of Heflin; sister, Eileen Franklin of Shreveport; brother in law, Norman Seid, M.D.; brother, Father Mark Franklin of Zwolle, LA; brothers and sisters in law, Randy and Donna Elledge and David and Nicole Elledge, all of Bossier City; two nieces: Sydney E. Seid and Layne Elledge; two nephews: Ryan and Kyle Elledge.
Pallbearers will be Norman Seid, Charlie Wiggins, Robert Smith, Ken Ellison, Mark James, and Dale Hutchins. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Wilson, Coy Elledge, Larry Wilson and Chuck Bennett.
