Rob Roy Tann was once editor of the Newton County Record newspaper.

Adopted brother of Georgia Tann, infamous Black Market Baby seller and superintendant of the Memphis Branch of the Tennessee Childrens Home.

He was adopted by Judge George Tann, and his Wife, Beulah.

While serving in World War I, he suffered what was then called shell shock and for the rest of his life suffered from tremors. He died of tuberculosis at age 46.

He is buried in the family plot. Georgia Tann is right above him in the photo.

Meridian, Miss., Oct. 12- Funeral services for R. R. Tann, 44 years old, son of the late G.C. Tann of Hickory and Mrs. Tann, now of Memphis, who died at the family residence in Boligee, Ala., after an illness of several months, were held at Hickory Friday afternoon. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Shellie Tann of Boligee; his mother, Mrs. G. C. Tann, Memphis; a sister, Miss Georgia Tann, in Memphis, and an Aunt Mrs. W. I. Suttle of Meridian.
