Funeral services for Mrs. J.F. Gray, 85, who died Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in a Palestine hospital after a brief illness, were held Thursday, August 29 at 3 o'clock at Slocum, with the Rev. Joe H. Berry officiating. Burial was in the Strong Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Gray was a native of Houston County and had resided in Anderson County for 67 years.
Among the survivors are Bennie Frank Gray, a son, of Canton, and Mrs. T.G. Rhodes, a daughter, of Frankston.
