CASHMERE _ Bessie L. Housden, 95, a longtime resident of Cashmere, died Saturday, July 10, 1993, at the Regency of Renton in Renton.

She was born to John and Louise (Moore) Holly on Jan. 28, 1898, in Seattle.

She married Albert R. Housden in September of 1913 in Cheney. He preceded her in death in 1964.

Mrs. Housden lived in the Methow Valley and Twisp before moving to Cashmere in 1933, where she worked in the fruit industry. She also drove school bus in Brewster for a few years.

She worked for Boeing during World War II and was a member of the Wenatchee Old Time Fiddlers and the Evergreen Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond of Albany, Ore., Dorman of East Wenatchee and Gary of Enumclaw; one daughter, Viola Miller, Renton; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.
