Leosa Vallance, 86, of Coal Grove, Ohio, passed away Wednesday (April 16, 2003) at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, in Russell, Kentucky.
Leosa was born July 18, 1916, in Markleysburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Cyrus & Ida VanSickle Glover.
She was a homemaker, attended Catlettsburg Church of God, and had lived in Lawrence County, Ohio since 1946.
She was the widow of Edwin Vallance, who passed away November 30, 1992.
She was preceded in death (in addition to her parents & husband) by 3 brothers: Stanley, Carmon, and Bob Glover.
She is survived by: 1 daughter & son-in-law: Myra and Roy Carpenter of Coal Grove: 1 son: Dale Vallance of Houston, Tx.; 4 grandchildren: Tracy Vallance of Houston, Tx., Sherri Jackson of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Donna Malone of Coal Grove, Mary Ann Lucas of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Harold Glover of Northeast, Pa., Tom Glover of Springfield, Maine; 1 sister: Janet Rush of Akron, Ohio.
Funeral service will be Saturday (April 19, 2003) 1:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St., Ironton, Ohio, with Pastor David Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
