Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the chapel of Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service by Revs. Charles Kelly and Grover Wilson. Interment will be in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
Oscar was born in Pittsylvania County, Va. on April 12, 1941 the son of Clyde and Ocie Pigg Hardy. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and was a self employed paint contractor. Wayne was a member of Pathway of Faith Baptist Church. He was a blue grass musician and was a member of the American Legion Cone Post.
Surviving are his wife Bonnie Hutchins Hardy of the home; a daughter Angela Hardy Pulliam (Sidney) of St. Charles Missouri; two sons Roger Dale Hardy (Beverly) of Thomasville and Rodney Keith Hardy (Candace) of Randleman; a brother Billy Clyde Hardy of Pelham, NC; and four grandchildren Michelle Pulliam, Joshua Hardy, Taylor Hardy and Logan Hardy; his faithful companion "Wilbur Lee".
