My most vivid memory of Grandma is when I was in kindergarten. We would visit her on Sundays and I would count to 100, as she very patiently listened to me. Grandma suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life. Because her hands were crippled, she had a way of crimping the crusts on her homemade pies that no one was able to duplicate. Dad said it made them unique. He said she was tiny and could walk underneath his outstretched arm. He was deeply affected by her death.
