Mrs. Lulu May Oswalt, 65, of
Gettysburg, died at 5:45 a.m. today
at Wayne Hosptial approximately
ten hours after being stricken with
a cerebral hemorrhage while visiting
with a daughter in Greenville. She
was the wife of Hol B. Oswalt.
The daughter is Mrs. William
Slade, whose husband operates
Slade's Furriers at 101 E. Fifth
street, where Mrs. Oswalt collapsed
around 8 p.m., Tuesday. She was
removed to the hospital after
emergency first aid treatment,
including resuscitation efforts with
an inhalator by Greenville firemen.
Mrs. Oswalt, a Miami county native,
had lived in Greenville prior to moving
to Gettysburg eight years ago. She
was a member of the Piqua Pilgrim
Holiness church.
Surviving are the husband; two
daughters, Mrs. Slade, of Greenville
and Mrs. Artie Burk, of Gettysburg;
one foster daughter, Mrs. William
Coss, of Columbus; three grandchildren;
four brothers, George Fansler, of
Bradford; Riley Fansler of Bradford
R.R.; Ernest Fansler, of Dayton, and
Alva Fansler, who resides in Texas,
and one sister, Mrs. Ben Overholer,
of Gettysburg.
Services will be held at two p.m.
Friday at the Miller Funeral Home
here with burial in Abbottsville.
Friends may call at the funeral
home after four p.m., Thursday.
