Cecil Roach, 81, of 1857 Scalesville Rd., Summerfield, died Monday, November 8, 2021. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, Mr. Roach was the son of the late Charlie and Cora R. Roach. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Floyd Roach, Sam Roach, Woodrow Roach and Hazel Trail. Mr. Roach was a member of Rock Grove Baptist Church and he attended Stokesdale Baptist Church. He loved to work outside and in the garden.
Mr. Roach is survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who he also loved very much. For over 20 years, he has lived with Elnora Roach, his sister-in-law, Timothy Roach, his nephew and Austin Roach, his great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Friday, November 12, 2021, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Brother Darrell Freeman. Burial will follow in the Rock Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-3PM Friday at the Brooks & White Chapel prior to the service and at other times at the home of Rebecca Roach, 368 Semora Rd., Roxboro.
Pallbearers will be Dale Roach, Mike Roach, Jeffrey Roach, and Jimmy Roach. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Roach, Tim Roach and Austin Roach.
Memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Miami, FL, 33134.
