Oscar Brady, 79, whose home was at 79 North Cass Street, died at 9:55 p.m. Friday in the Marion General Hospital. He had been in failing health five years.
A retired hatter from the old Pioneer Hat Company, Mr. Brady was self-employed for many years.
Born Feb. 28, 1880 in Wabash County to John R. and Almira (Leslie) Brady, he was a life resident of the city. He was married Nov. 7, 1897 in North Manchester to Maud Ellen Reed, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Miss Helen Brady, at home, Mrs. Del Huddleston, Wabash, and Mrs. Wayne Rittenhouse, Liberty Mills. Four brothers and a sister preceded h im in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Eddingfield Chapel with Dr. W.W. Wimberly officiating. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
