Lyndonville - William WAKEFIELD, 90 years old, died at his home on the North Lyndonville Road last night. He had been in poor health for several years.

Born in Stretton-On-Fosse, England, on July 15, 1860. He was the son of Nathaniel and Isabelle WAKEFIELD. He came to Canada at the age of 21 and married Eliza RANDALL there a year later. His wife died in Sept. 1946 after the couple had spent 46 years in this country. Mr. WAKEFIELD engaged in farming in the Lyndonville area as long as his health permitted. He was a member of Yates Baptist Church and is survived by three sons, Daniel of Albion, and William and Montrose of Lyndonville; one daughter, Mrs. George BOLTON of Ontario, N.Y., eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at the Smythe Funeral Home here, with Rev. Floyd A. Childs officiating. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.
