Wallace A. (sic) Geist, a resident of Brookville, R.D. 3, died Friday, September 26, 1969 in Brookville Hospital at the age of eight-three years. The son of Elias and Amanda (Clontz) Geist he was born in Knox township, Jefferson county December 19, 1885.
He was first married to Elsie Moore, who died in 1955. He later married Rosa Brosius, who died in 1969.
A coal miner during his lifetime, he had been a member of the Church of God at Ramsaytown. Surviving are two sons: Larry E. Geist, of Brookville; Gerald Geist, of RD 2, Reynoldsville. Two grandchildren survive as do the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Letha Moore, of Brookville, R.D. 3; Clover, of R.D. 2, Brookville; Mrs. Ruth Morrison, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Mrs. Naomi Knisely, of R.D. 2, Brookville. Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, at Donald C.Galbraith Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Moore officiating.
Interment was in St. Matthew`s cemetery at Ramsaytown.
