Paul Whitmer LaPrade was born on October 9, 1926 in Phoenix, AZ, and died on February 16, 1986 in Phoenix, AZ. He is the son of Arthur Thornton LaPrade and Lucile Hooper. He married Marianne Eloise Dexter on August 27,1949 in Los Angeles, CA. They raised their six children in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. Paul was the youngest of four children and was raied in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended New Mexico Military Institute, graduated from University of Arizona Law School. Paul was an assistant in the Arizona Attorney General's office and had a private law practice. In 1969 he was elected as judge of the Superior Court where he served until his death at the early age of 59.
