Don Harrach, age 73 of Glendale, AZ, died January 3rd, 2009 at Hospice of Arizona. Don was born January 20th, 1935 in Grant, NE to Frank and Margaret Harrach. He graduated from Englewood H.S. in Colorado in 1953, and then joined the Navy. After discharge, he returned to Denver and worked for Martin-Marietta, and met his future wife, Diane Aldrich. They were married on January 28th, 1960. He worked on the Titan Missile sites in Colorado and Idaho. An opportunity arose to work at AiResearch, (now Honeywell), and the family moved to Phoenix. Retirement in 1991 allowed Don and his wife the ability to travel to many places in the USA and around the world. Don joined the Dept. of Public Safety as a Reserve Officer in the 1970's. He volunteered many hours of service for nearly 20 years. He loved his family, computers, fishing, photography, and his dogs. Surviving is his wife, Diane,; two daughters; Deborah and Dana; one sister, Doris Harrach of Livermore, CA, and nieces and a nephew. No services are planned. Advantage Golden Door Chapel, Youngtown, AZ is in charge of arrangements.
