The Rev Charles P Young of Mt St Joseph's Catholic Church of Barstow officiated at a mass celebrated yesterday morning for Joyce B Stockton, 15, who died Friday in a local hospital, a victim of a traffic accident.
Rosary was recited Sunday evening at O'Donnell's Funeral Home, Barstow.
A resident of Barstow for the past eight years, she was a native of Luxemburg. Joyce was a sophomore at Barstow High School where she played bass clarinet in the Riffian Band, and was a member of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association.
She is survived by her mother, Leonore Stockton, manager of Anita Shops here, her father, Lee Stockton, and a sister, Laurine, all of the family residence, 630 W Buena Vista.
Serving as pall bearers were Messers. Arthur Gee, Joe H Catro, Vic H Brimmer, larry Hargrove, J C Thompson, Paul Bennington and Paul Varela, all officers of the Riffian Band.
Burial was in Mt View Cemetery, Barstow.
