OBITUARY Death of Fred Naas

Fred Naas, 70, 773 West Fifth street, died at 8:30a.m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Neumann, Altura, where he had been visiting. Death was from complications and following an illness of several months. Mr. Naas was born July 27, 1873, in Winona, and had resided here all his life. He was employed in the bridge and building department of the Chicago & North Western railroad shops for 43 years, retiring in 1938. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes and of the Woodmen of the World and was a charter member of Faith Lutheran church. Survivors are his daughter and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Neumann, Altura. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran church. Preliminary services will be conducted at his home at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
