Sturgis --- Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Dow will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the F. O. Jolley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Markman of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Red Owl Cemetery.

Mrs. Dow died Wednesday at the Community Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.

She was born July 7, 1880 at Osawatomie, Kan., and moved to Union County as a small child. She married Chester Dow at Elk Point in 1901. They came to Meade County in 1929, where she had lived since.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur of LaPorte, Colo., and Faye of Rapid City; two daughters, Mrs. Alta Humble and Mrs. Hazel Holmes, both of Sturgis; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Milton Kester of Carthage, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters. A memorial has been established to the Sturgis Nursing Home.
