Sarah "Sallie" Elizabeth (Rogers) Kuykendall was the 1st wife of the Rev. W. H. Kuykendall. They married in July 1879 in Salado, Bell Co., TX. W. H. and Sallie were in Bell Co., TX in 1880. He was ordained to preach the gospel at Dallas, TX in 1881. The Hull family arrived in Indian Territory between 1892-1894.
After Sallie's death, Rev. W. H. Kuykendall is found to have been the pastor at the Lone Grove Baptist Church in Love Grove, Indian Territory in December 1897.
By 1900, Rev. W. H. Hull has remarried and is found with a new wife, Francis, and his five children in Ardmore, Pickens Co., Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. He eventually went to Mexico under appointment of a foreign missionary. Later during times of Mexican turmoil, he returned to the US to preach in Baptist churches in the Southwest. In about 1917, he began preaching in Magnolia, AR. His autobiography tells of his marrying "Mrs. Lillian Hall of Fulton, KY" after returning from Mexico. US Census, 1930 shows he and wife, Lillian, back in Oklahoma and in Carter County.
