Eva Lucille Spires of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, February 8, 2003, at Core Nursing Center in Bedford, IN. Born on September 30, 1912, in Orange County, IN, she was the daughter of Claude and Anna (Quillen) Livingston. She married Ervin Spires on April 24, 1930, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1983.

Surviving are three daughters: Jewell Goldsberry of Mooresville, IN, Mary Ann Graham of Bedford, IN, and Junetta Goff of Ohio; two sons: Robert "Runt" Spires and Rick Spires both of Bedford, IN; one brother, Robert Max Livingston of Mitchell, IN; twenty-seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Gaylord and Donald Spires; one daughter, Joyce Larsen; one brother, Clovis Livingston; and one sister, Olive Hutton.

She was a homemaker and attended the Free Methodist Church in Bedford, IN.

Services for Eva Lucille Spires will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2003, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain and Pastor Dave Colgan officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
