Donald C. Switzer
Donald Charles Switzer, 62, 707 S. Fourth, died at 2:30 a.m. today at Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 7 to 9 p.m.
Switzer was born April 11, 1918 in Fairfield, the son of Alonzo and Grace McMullen Switzer. He married Dorothy Cochran on May 15, 1936 at Kahoka, Mo. A retired machinist from Trane Company in Burlington, he moved to Fairfield from Burlington about two months ago. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Lonna Larson of Burlington, Marilyn Parker of Bellevue, Neb.; four grandchildren; one brother, the Rev. Ernest Switzer of Omaha, Neb., and a sister, Frances Freund of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one granddaughter.
