He was a retired truck driver and construction worker.
He is survived by his lifetime friend whom he was married to for 61 years, Mary Maxine Lawrence Mason; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of lifetime friends.
The family wishes to thank Kanawha Hospice Care, Beth, Sallie, Donna, and Patrick for all the help and support they gave Don during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care at 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV, in Don's memory.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with Oshel Bell officiating the service. Interment will be in Orchard Hill Memory Gardens, Yawkey.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at the funeral home.
