Surviving in addition to her husband are five sons, Gordon W. and Harry E. Monroe of Hamlet, Connie E. and James A. Monroe of Jacksonville, Florida, and Wayne N. Monroe of Cheraw, South Carolina, three daughters, Eunice M. Gardner (Hugh) of Raeford, Grace M. Worden (Mack)of Lansing, Michigan and Evelyn M. Hughes (Daniel) of Charlotte, three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bracey (Charles A.) of Johns, Mrs. Elizabeth Andrews (Neil A.) of Maxton, and Mrs. Emma Hughes (John A.) of Disputania, Virginia, one brother, Laurin Falk of New Mexico, 23 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
