Bethel, Nov. 5--Frank Merkey, this place, died yesterday in the Reading Hospital, aged 64 years. He was a native of Jackson Township, Lebanon County, son of the late James and Catherine (Weidman) Merkey, and was a member of St. John's Reformed Church at Host.
His wife, Annie L. (Kauterman) Merkey, died October 21 last. Surviving are two children, Amy, wife of Harvey Moyer, Bernville R.D., and Marian, wife of Raymond Gingrich, this place; three grandchildren; his stepmother, Mrs. Kate Merkey, Lebanon; these sisters and brothers: Maggie, wife of Levi Raber, Rehrersburg; Harry, Myerstown R.D.; Samuel, Lititz R.D., and Mary, wife of Harry Boltz, Lebanon.
Funeral on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Charles E. Schucker Funeral Home at Rehrersburg. Further services in St. John's Church at Host, the Rev. E. S. Leinbach officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
