ISAAC SANDERS JR.
GROVE HILL -- Isaac Sanders Jr., a retired insurance representative, died Sunday at his home. He was 73. Sanders attended Tuskegee Institute, where he became an electrician. He was a member and deacon of the Orange Hill Baptist Church. He also was a founding member of the Grove Hill Improvement Association, served as a Clarke County poll worker and was an active member of the Clarke County Chapter of the NAACP. He was a native of Pike Road, Ala., and a resident of Grove Hill. Survivors include two sons, Herman Zeigler of Montgomery and Isaac Sanders of Detroit; two daughters, Regenia Sanders of Atlanta and Rhonda Sanders of Flint, Mich.; and one sister, Ruby Jarrett of Montgomery. A service is set for 1 p.m. today at the Orange Hill Baptist Church in Grove Hill. Burial will be in Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. Arrangements were by Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson.
