Clyde H. Beedie, 69, 226 Hoosier Avenue, Oolitic, went to be with the Lord at 10:29 a.m. Friday July 28, 2008 at Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born July 7, 1939, in Bedford, he was the son of Max S. and Olive M. (Daugherty) Beedie. He married Janice Lea Mills on Sept. 27, 1958, and she survives.
He was a supervisor at G.E. in Bloomington, retiring after 27 years, in 1996. He continued working at G.E. after retirement, until the present.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Marjorie Beedie; two brothers, Tom and Gerald Beedie; and one sister, Harriet Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Jack Heim officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford.
