Daughter of George Avery (1803-1866) and Hannah (Armstrong) Avery (1807-1863).
She married, first, John W Kinney. By him, she had three sons born in New York City, the first two of whom died young.
She married, second, on May 16,1883 at Table Rock, Nebraska, Peter Gold.

OBITUARY- Juliett Avery, daughter of George and Hannah Armstrong Avery, was born in Montgomery county, New York, September 24, 1854 and departed this life November 14, 1935 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 21 days.
At the age of three years she moved with her parents to New York City, where she grew to womanhood. In 1871 she was united in marriage to John Kinney. To this union sons were born, John W., Frank W. and George W. John departed this life at the age of seven years, and Frank at the age of one year.
In 1881 she and her son, George arrived in Table Rock, to make their home with her brother, William Avery.
She was united in marriage to Peter Gold, May 16, 1883, at Table Rock, Nebraska. They lived together on a farm northeast of Table Rock forty-one years, after which she lived in Table Rock one year with her granddaughter, Goldie Binder and the last six years of her life she spent on her farm with her son, George and family.
She united with the Methodist church of Table Rock years ago and remained a faithful, active member until her failing health prevented her attendance.
Her many neighbors and friends who have had the best means of knowing her daily life, speak of her to highest terms, and have memories of her many acts of kindness. She was also a member of the W.R.C., Missionary Society and W.C.T.U.
She leaves to mourn their loss, one brother, George Avery of Enlewood, New Jersey; her son, Henry Gold, eleven grandchildren, five nephews and three nieces. Five sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by rev. Embree and Rev. R. E. Martin a former pastor. Music was furnished by a quartette composed of Mesdames Embree and Hinds, and Messrs. Cotton and Bonham, and Rev. Martin and wife sang a beautiful duet, "There's No Disappointment in Heaven," one of Mrs. Gold's favorite hymns. The interment was in the Table Rock cemetery.
Out of town relatives and friends attending the service were granddaughters, Mrs. Mabel Beares and husband, Mrs. Beulah Shutz of Grand Island, Raymond Kinney of Kearney; Mrs. Mertie Jenkins and daughter, Mona, and husband, Seneca, Kansas; Mr. Ruben Harshberger, and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Harshberger, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Trimmer of Humboldt.
