He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Hickman County, Ky, son of the late Walker and Jessie Morris (Bockman) Conn. He married the former Nancy Myatt April 2, 1971, and she survives. He had been employed at the former General Tire Co. in Mayfield, Ky., for 33 years before retiring and had also worked for Hancock Farms in Fulton. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and had served in the National Guard. He was also a past volunteer for the Hickman County (Ky) Fire and Rescue Squad and was an honorary member. He had lived in this area all his life.
Survivors also include his son, Jeffery Dee Conn of Smyrna; two stepdaughters, Susan Lyn Conn of Amelia Island, Fla, and Sharon Kimbell Wallace of Kevil, Ky; two grandchildren, Derek Conn of Ash Flat, Ark, and Julianna Conn of Smyrna; three step-grandchildren, Kristen Rushing of Almo, Ky, Emily Kimbell of Austin, Texas, and Sam Kimbell of Fulton; a great-grandchild; a step-great-grandchild; his sister, Maggie Brockwell of Fulton; and his brother, Mac Conn of Sebree, Ky. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald Conn, James Wendell Conn, and Bobby Joel Conn.
