Mrs. Washington Dunn died at her late residence, No. 243 Church street, Friday evening, March 7, at 7 o'clock. Her death was due to heart failure, superinduced by bronchitis.
The funeral services will be conducted from her late residence Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

The funeral services of Mrs. Washington Dunn were conducted from her late residence at 243 West Church street, in this city, this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The services were conducted at the home and grave by Rev. A. Lawrence Miller, pastor of the Trinity M. E. church, assisted by Rev. C. H. Williamson, pastor of the Great Island Presbyterian church, both of this city. The pall bearers were Messrs. John R. Stevenson, S. Girard Whaley, Dare Lawrence, R. P. M. Davis, Ross W. Barrows and Clarence Weymouth. The interment, which was private, was made in the family plot in Highland cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn, whose maiden name was Lois Ann Fisk, was born at Schroon, New York, on March 14, 1838, her father being Levi Fisk and her mother Lois Ann Wolcott. She was educated at Dickinson seminary, in Williamsport, Pa., and at Burlington seminary, Vermont. Her father removed with his family to upper Pine Creek and then to this city about 1855 and engaged in the lumber business, then approaching its zenith. In 1870 she was married to the late Washington Dunn, in the direct line of one of the pioneer families of Central Pennsylvania, with whom she lived in this city and in New York and the far west where he was engaged in railroad construction until his death in 1883, since which time, except for intervals in which she was traveling with her family, she lived in this city.
Four children survive her: William A. Dunn, now of Atlantic City, N. J.; Charles Dunn, Clarence Dunn and Aida, wife of Sidney D. Furst, all of this city. Some years after moving to this section she became a member of the faculty of Dickinson seminary in Williamsport, Pa., holding the chair of music. She united with Trinity M. E. church, of which she remained an active and useful member until the time of her death. She was a woman of unusual business ability and was an earnest supporter and liberal contributor to all the agencies in the church and city having for their objects the betterment and spiritual welfare of the community. Her private charities were especially marked. Her physical bodily infirmity aggravated by rheumatism during the latter period of her life. Her death after a brief illness, being confined to her bed but two days, was the result of bronchitis complicated with heart failure, and she passed peacefully away on Friday, March 7, 1913, at her home, surrounded by all the members of her family and household, in full possession of her senses to the last moment of her life.
