Frank was a farmer and mine worker in St. Francois County, Missouri. He was a drill operator for the St. Joe Lead Company for more than 40 years.
Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. 535 in Blackwell, Missouri. He also belonged to Royal Arch UEL Chapter No. 129 of Bonne Terre, Missouri and V.F.W. No. 6883.
Frank died suddenly from a heart attack 6 days after his 61st birthday. He was pronounced dead at Bonne Terre Hospital.
He was survived by his wife, Stella; 1 daughter, (Living) Clark of Farmington, Missouri; 1 grandchild; 4 brothers, George Hoelzel of South Pekin, Illinois, Elmer Hoelzel of De Soto, Missouri, Carl Hoelzel of De Soto, and Herman J. Hoelzel of St. Louis County, Missouri; and 3 sisters, Rose Eads, Minnie Vint and Katheryn Killebrew, all of St. Louis County.
Masonic services were conducted at 8 p.m. on the evening of 06 Feb 1968 at the Sparks Chapel in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted there at 2 p.m. the following afternoon.
Frank's wife, Stella, later remarried. She passed away in 1977 and was buried next to Frank.
