Ralph Hutton was born near Spragueville, New York at Keenes, July 25, 1924, the son of Roy and Bessie Hutton. Ralph was wounded at the Battle of Tarawa in the Pacific Ocean during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Ralph retired from the Marine Corps in 1967 as a gunnery sergeant. Ralph was Department Commander of the Marine Corps League from 1966 to 1968 and National Junior Vice Commandant of the the Marine Corps League from 1975 to 1976, He had been retail department manager of the Marine Corps Exchange at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station and the helicopter station at Tustin for the 14 years. He was manager of the sporting equipment shop at El Toro.
