Mrs. Earline Rebecca (Hankins)Salewski, age 69, of Perkinston, MS, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
Mrs. Salewski was preceded in death by her parents, James Dixon Hankins and Eunice Hankins of Biloxi. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Salewski, of Perkinston; two daughters, Sharon Duffey and her husband, Steve, of Lakeside, AZ, and Linda Costello and her husband, Ken, of Cedar Point, NC; loving grand-children, Stefany Costello of Cedar Point, NC, Sheena, Bruce and Kristin Costello of Mashpee, MA; and great-grandson, Liam Farwell. She is also survived by two sisters, Geraldine Johnson and her husband, Noah, of Saucier, and Shirley Ryan and her husband, Jack, of Biloxi; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Mrs. Salewski will be remembered by all as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her and knew her. She was very talented and was accomplished at oil painting, quilting, jewelry design and most other artistic venues.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552 , in memory of Earline Salewski.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 5, 2008, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
