Mrs. Ida Anderson Is Called By Death

Mrs. Ida E. Anderson, a beloved former resident of North Branch, who for a number of years has made her home at Stacy was stricken with a heart attack early Monday morning and on Tuesday morning was called to her eternal reward. Death came suddenly to Mrs. Anderson at the age of sixty-eight years.

Funeral services are to be held today, Thursday, from the farm home at 2 o’clock and from the Stacy Methodist church at Stacy at 2:30 o’clock.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by three sons and one daughter, Harvey Anderson of Marine, C. A. Anderson of North Branch, Irwin Anderson, and Mrs. Florence Alm of Stacy.

PIONEER RESIDENT OF STACY DIES
Funeral Services For Mrs. Ida Anderson Held Thursday

Funeral services were held at the home and the Methodist Church last Thursday for Mrs. Ida (Lent) Anderson who died very suddenly July 27 of a stroke.

She was born on June 10, 1869, at Stacy and spent her girlhood on the home farm. On Feb. 7, 1894, she was united in marriage to Anders Gustaf Anderson at St. Paul. They settled at North Branch where their marriage was blessed with five children, three boys, and two girls, one girl dying in infancy.

In 1915 the family moved to Stacy where they resided on a farm until the death of the husband and father, July 14, 1917. Since then Mrs. Anderson had made her home with her children until the past month which she spent in North Branch caring for Mrs. Hamilton. At the time of her death she was 68 years, 1 month, and 17 days of age.

Mourning her are the following children: Harvey of Marine, Chester of North Branch, Erwin and Florence of Stacy, and one brother, William Lent of Stacy, two sisters, Mrs. A. W. Sherman of Stacy, and Mrs. Cora Lilja of Minneapolis. She also leaves three daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rev. Russel Carr of North Minneapolis officiated, and Mrs. Walter Carlson of Marine, Miss Helen Schytner of North Branch, and Rev. Carr sang the songs Mrs. Anderson loved best, “Saved By Grace”, “God’s Way Is The Best Way” and “Sometime You’ll Understand.” Pallbearers were E. A. Heimke, A. H. Priebe, A. D. Anderson, F. E. Warner, S. C. Waller, and George Baxter.

Relatives and friends from St. Paul, Osseo, Minneapolis, Lindstrom, Shafer, Rush City, Wyoming, Chisago City, Marine, and almost the entire home community attended the funeral. The Methodist Ladies’ Aid served lunch at the home farm for all out of town guests.

Mrs. Anderson was an unselfish mother, a faithful Christian, and a loyal friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
