He leaves his wife of 30 years, Helen (Chiras) Bouthillier; two step-sons; Stanley J. Harackiewicz and his wife Barbara and David H. Harackiewicz; a sister, Mary Clancy; a brother, Richard Bouthillier; a grandson, Kristopher D. Harackiewicz; two granddaughters Kimberly A. Harackiewicz and Jennifer L. Harackiewicz; and nephews and nieces. A sister, Catherine Kupranowicz of Worcester, predeceased him. His first wife was Dorothy Agnes Mathieu.
Mr. Bouthillier was born in Southbridge on December 24, 1924, a son of the late Arthur I. and Mary Ellen (Houde) Bouthillier, and lived there for most of his life before moving to Millbury over 30 years ago. He graduated from Southbridge high School in 1942.
Buddy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Bouthillier spent many years as a cook and he managed Messier's Restaurant and the Kenmore Diner, both in Worcester, MA.
For the last 30 years, he and his wife, Helen, have devoted their time to training and racing their own harness horses. He loved animals and watching sports, especially football. Buddy had a great sense of humor and always carried a song in his heart.
