Rehrersburg, Aug. 21--Monroe G. Blatt died at 12:10 this morning at his home, 1 1/2 miles southwest of this place, aged 70 years, 4 months and 15 days. He was a son of the late Jacob and Anna (Greth) Blatt and was a member of St. John's Church, Host. There survive his widow, Ellen H. (Beckey) Blatt; these children: Harry W., at home; Annie, wife of Howard Althouse, Hamburg; Charles H., Bernville RD; Raymond G, Tulpehocken; Irvin J., Wernersville RD, and Howard L., Hamburg; 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Louisa, wife of Samuel Schell, Cross Keys, and Katie, wife of Charles Biehl, Reading.
Funeral on Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the home. Further services in St. John's Church, Host, Rev. E. S. Leinbach officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery, in charge of Funeral Director Charles E. Schucker, of this place.
