B. L. Autry,72 Dies; Rites Sunday

Barney Lee Autry, resident of the Cuthbert Community died at his home shortly after
midnight Friday. Death came unexpectedly to the 72-year old retired farmer although
he had not been feeling well the last few weeks.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. from Kiker and Son Funeral Home
Chapel. Burial will be in the Cuthbert Cemetery.

Autry was born Dec. 18, 1887. He married Susan Bozeman in Colorado City Jan. 1 1920.
Mrs. Autry died April 25. 1943. Autry was a member of the Baptist Church, a member of
Ira Masonic Lodge and was veteran of World War I.

He is surived by a son, J. B Autry of Cuthbert; four daughters, Mrs. Travis Payne of
Cuthbert, Mrs. Charles Talbot and Mrs. Williams Jones both of El Paso and Mrs. V. A.
Moitoret of England; two sisters, Mrs. M. E, Hewett and Mrs. Roy Spencer both of Mountain
Aire, New Mexico; and 15 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be W. W. Hester, L. A. Browne, J. M Sterling. Elmo Dunn, Jim W, Brown
and Cecil Erwin
