George F. Perry, Jr.

George F. Perry, Jr., 80, of Brookside Park, Newark, DE, died on Tuesday November 23, 1999 at home.

Mr. Perry was an Industrial Technical Carpenter with Porter Building Products, Bear, retiring in 1981 after 5 years. He was a member of House of Praise for 25 years, where he served as an Elder and was involved in Prison Ministry. He conducted Bible Study at Newark Senior Center. Mr. Perry was a US Army veteran of World War II and a member of J. Allison O'Daniel Post #475, VFW.

Mr. Perry's wife, Florence Adelaide Painter Perry, died in 1992. He was also preceded in death by 4 sons, George F. Perry, III, Wayne L. Perry, Randy F. Perry & David M. Snavely. He is survived by his children, Carol A. McNally of Newport, Darlece E. Sullivan of Wilmington, Sandra Munden of Marshallton, Rev. Carol J. Michaels-LaCorte & her husband Sam of Newark, Paul Snavely of New Castle, Kathleen Pawley of Newark, James Perry & his wife Donna of Port Penn; 2 sisters, Dorothy Pew & Mildred Patrick, both of Deepwater, NJ; 31 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27th at SPICER-MULLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Interment in Delaware City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to House of Praise, 100 Linden Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805. For 24-hr. funeral info, 368-3262.
