She's a native of Schnectady, New York, and the daughter of the late Alfred A. and May Buckley Lyman. She was a retired secretary of the neo-natal unit of the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was a member of the Pink Ribbon Partners and also a member of Calvary Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles L. Hager of Brandon, Fla. and James E. Hager of Winchester; four grandchildren, Spears Allen Hager, and Abbigail Elizabeth Hager, both of Winchester, and Brandy Marie Hager and Charles Christopher Hager of Brandon, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Joe Deamer of Scotia, New York; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Arthur and Cathy Lyman, Alplause, New York, and Thomas J. and Linda Lyman, of Malta, New York, and Richard M. Lyman of Saratoga Springs, New York; and one cousin, Gwen Smith from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John E. and Dorothy Hager of Winchester, and Betty Ruth and Eugene R. Hager of Winchester, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Spears Hager, Charles Hager, Phillip Howard, Greg Hobson, Cole Griggs, and Thomas J. Lyman; honorary pallbearers will be the Pink Ribbon Partners and all her camping buddies in the group The Goats and Gals.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday on Feb. 27 at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Groves, Jack Harney, and the Rev. Brian Walton. Burial will be at Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Scobee Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Hospice East, Hospice of the Bluegrass, National Kidney Foundation, and American Cancer Society.
