Nannie was born South of Louisville, to John Walker (born Tenn) and Nancy Wilson (born S.C.)in 1855. She Married William Parish and it is unknown what happened to William Parish however Nannie and her two brothers Packed up the four children, Elizabeth, Ben, Riley and Jesse and came to missouri by covered wagon and settled in the area of Grandin Missouri. She married William Smith on February 23, 1888 and to this union at least one child was born, Dink Smith. (son Bill Smith)
Nannie last lived in the home located to the right of the Grandin Cemetary entrance. The Funeral was held in the front yard and she was carried to her final resting place in Grandin Cemetary beside her second husband William Smith.
