Myrtle Norene Watson, 60, of Athens, Texas and formerly of Palestine died June 7, 2009, at her residence. Burial in Roselawn Park was under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. She was born April 16, 1949 in Levelland, Texas to Bual and Willie Mae Woodard. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and a member of the Memorial Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was survived by her husband, John Watson; daughter, Johnna Kindred and husband William; son, Jeff Watson and wife Angie; sister, Peggy Rhone; brother, James L. Collins; and eight grandchildren.
