Deceased Name: Lewis C. Habash, financial analyst, former Marine Corps officer, dies

Services for Lewis C. Habash, a financial analyst and retired lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps, will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Presbyterian Church of Santa Ana, 17th Street and Prospect Avenue.

Mr. Habash, a stock broker, money manager and financial analyst for more than 28 years, died Saturday. He was 60.

He was last employed by Drexel-Burnham Lambert, a brokerage firm.

He was born in Minneapolis in 1927. He pursued a degree in pre-medicine before enlisting in the U.S. Marines in 1945.

He was in active duty for 12 years and in the reserves for 13 years. He received several awards for his service and performance as a fighter pilot, including the Flying Cross with a gold star.

He left the armed forces and moved to Los Angeles in 1957 and to Orange County in 1959.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Lee of Santa Ana; a daughter, Constance of Santa Ana; a brother, John of New York City; and a sister, Katherine Daruty of Los Angeles.
